The Association for Energy Engineers (AEE) has named School of Building Construction graduate student Abe Kruger the Region II Young Energy Professional of the Year. Every year the AEE selects a young professional from each of the 5 regions in the United States to honor their outstanding contributions to the energy profession and their community.

Daniel Castro Appointed to Chair of the Georgia Tech School of Building Construction

Georgia Tech today announced that Associate Professor Daniel Castro has been appointed to chair of the School of Building Construction in the College of Architecture. An expert in material procurement, automation protocols and sustainable energy alternatives for buildings, he is tasked with advancing Building Construction education and research and with expanding its international outreach.

Georgia Tech to Offer First PhD Degree in Building Construction

The University System of Georgia has approved a new PhD degree with a major in Building Construction at Georgia Tech, the first such offering in the nation. Housed within the College of Architecture and the School of Building Construction, the program is now accepting applications for fall 2012 admission.
